Translations mechanical engineering and plant engineering

Technical translations in the field of plant engineering and mechanical engineering is our specialization since 2001. We offer technical translations of technical documentation into many languages of any level of difficulty.

Translations of technical documentation from the mechanical engineering sector account for well over half of all orders at Techlinguist. We have had this ratio since the beginning of our work as freelance technical translators and later as an independent translation agency.

Mechanical engineering translations for the whole world

Our expertise in the field of plant and mechanical engineering can best be seen in the list of translated documentation. There you can see all the technical documentation we have translated in this field.

All formats of technical documentation

What our European clients particularly appreciate is that we not only process documents in Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel or PowerPoint, but in all formats relevant to technical documentation, including, of course, mechanical engineering:

- AutoCAD
- Adobe Framemaker
- Adobe InDesign
- CorelDraw
- Adobe Illustrator
- QuarkXPress
- Bitmap formats (tiff, jpg, bmp ...)
- XML (editorial systems)

Other programs are used less frequently. Be sure, we can use any software with minimal time to learn new features.

Nothing works without CAT tools

And this includes, of course, the modern CAT tools such as SDL Trados (current versions 2019 and 2021), Across 7, as well as memoQ, which save clients translation costs up to 90% and increase translation consistency.

Mechanical engineering translations: no project is too big for us

Our capacity is almost unlimited, we handle every job in the shortest possible time, even if many jobs contain documentation in multiple formats and are sometimes mixed in German and English. Even if even one document contains both languages, we don't care. We translate everything. See our clients for mechanical engineering Russian translations in the list of our clients.

We also perform translations in other fields

Plant engineering - Drive technology - Architecture - Automation technology - Automotive engineering - Construction machinery - Construction projects - Construction materials - Construction technologies - Biotechnology - Fire protection technology - Chemistry - Printing machines - E-commerce - Electronics - Electrical engineering - Energy systems - Energy supply - Building services engineering - Heating technology - Woodworking machines - Hydraulics - Industrial production - Refrigeration technology - Communication technologies - Power plants - Plastics technology - Medical engineering - Measuring and Measurement and Control Technology - Metallurgy - Metalworking - Pneumatics - Presses - Pumps - Solar Technology - Road Construction - Telecommunications - Civil Engineering - Transport - Environmental Technology - Water Treatment - Packaging Machines

At this point we can't tell you about all the specialist areas, the list would be too long. You may want to check our reference projects to learn more about technical translations into different languages. If you have any questions about a specific project or field of expertise - we will be happy to give you more information and provide references from our customers in Germany, Austria, Russia, China and Switzerland. Our largest customers are located in these countries.

B2B translations

It is clear from this list that most of our translations can be called "from professionals to professionals". These are translations of manuals and other technical documentation of large machines and equipment, prepared by European engineers and read and used by Chinese, German or Russian professionals on site - engineers, technicians, assemblers. Between both sides there must be also professionals who take care of communication, namely specialized translators. This is the task we undertake.

This means that the level of translations for this target group must be very high, because our clients are dealing with projects involving huge investments. Everything in these projects has to be top quality, and not just the machines and equipment, but the documentation that is used in the process. And this level is very high, written in the right technical language, our translations are clearly understood immediately.

This is recognized by our end customers - engineers and technicians. They do not notice that it is a translation, that is the highest praise for any translator, our colleagues in Germany, Spain, China, Ukraine, Russia and in the other countries would confirm it.

Translations for end users

Of course, our translations also include operating instructions and other documents for end customers, i.e. end users. They are not easy to find in this reference list, but such jobs as translating user manuals for coffee machines or blood pressure meters or apps for Mac OS are also among our tasks. In such translations, our translators and proofreaders see themselves as actual end users of this technology, which is already an easier task, since we are all consumers of one or another product. User-friendliness of terminology is most important in such translations.
